The Summit Basketball Complex has opened at Forest Hill Chase in Melbourne's east.
The Summit, a competition-grade, three-court basketball complex in partnership with Nunawading Basketball and supported by Basketball Victoria, has officially opened at Forest Hill Chase.
Located on Level 3 of the centre, the purpose-built facility represents a first-to-market concept in Australia, integrating community sport into a shopping centre environment.
Ben Finger, Haben Managing Director, said: “Forest Hill Chase is redefining the role of retail through sport-integrated placemaking. This is about creating purposeful destinations that drive consistent visitation, strengthen community connection and deliver long-term value.”
Forest Hill Chase Centre Manager, Ingrid Vanin, said the project reflects a long-term vision to evolve the centre into a more relevant and impactful community asset.
“Game day at Forest Hill Chase is now a fully integrated experience. By combining sport with food, retail and entertainment, we’re creating a destination that fits naturally into people’s daily lives.”
The Summit will host training and competitions for the Nunawading Basketball community’s members and their guests, seven days a week.
Forest Hill Chase is located in Melbourne's east and is managed by Haben on behalf of co-owners Haben and JY Group.
